With the increasing interest in the crypto money markets, the amount of locked funds in the projects increased and the appetite of the hackers increased. We have witnessed many hacking incidents throughout the year. Faced with this situation, some platforms managed to save their funds.
One of them was Cream Finance. Cream Finance, which was hacked twice during the year, reported that it has reclaimed $16 million in funds.
Cream Finance, which was hacked on August 31, lost approximately $25 million worth of funds. The following statements were used in the announcement made by Cream Finance on Twitter:
“Following the attack on 31 August, we are fully committed to recovering these funds.
We want to confirm that 5,152 Ethereum has been recovered.
We would like to thank those who helped us take quick action on this issue and made it easier for us to follow the hackers. (It is stated that two accounts won a 50% reward.)
We let the hacker keep our 10% error bounty to secure the return of funds.”

Thanks to them we were able to track down and identify the hacker who we immediately engaged.
