2024 - Container cities are getting ready after the earthquake!

The 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that occurred on February 6 were recorded as the biggest disasters in the history of the Republic. After the earthquakes that caused great destruction in 10 provinces, many of our citizens lost their lives. Work is underway for the survivors of the earthquake.

Works for container city started in Adıyaman

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made statements about the works carried out after the earthquakes affecting 10 provinces. Karaismailoğlu, who stated that the works are continuing to return the cities to their normal life, explained that basic needs such as electricity and water have begun to be met.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who gave information about the work with the Minister of Commerce Mehmet Muş in Adıyaman, also made important statements about the shelter needs of the earthquake victims. Stating that tents have been set up for earthquake victims, Karaismailoğlu stated that container cities will be established in the near future.

Karaismailoğlu stated that the works for container cities have started and that the first containers have started to arrive in Adıyaman. While determining the locations of these container cities, which will be a home for earthquake victims until they move to their permanent residences, infrastructure works have also been started.

Container houses, which are much more resistant to weather conditions than tents, are of great importance for earthquake victims. Our citizens who lost their homes in the earthquake will have the opportunity to live in a more comfortable area, even if it is a little bit. It is planned that the earthquake victims will be placed in their permanent residences within 1 year.
