Frankfurt Commerzbank or Rheinmetall? The question of who will move up to the Dax for the industrial gases group Linde on February 27 was unclear for a long time. Since the beginning of February, however, Commerzbank has been considered set. However, there is only complete certainty on Friday evening when Deutsche Börse announces its decision after 10 p.m.

Deutsche Börse had already announced on January 19 that Linde would be leaving the Dax on February 27. Ten days before she will announce the successor. In the future, Linde only wants to be listed on Wall Street. The Dax loses its most valuable stock exchange member.

The company outside the Dax that has the highest market value of freely traded shares in free float will move up. On the decisive ranking list for January, this is Commerzbank, well ahead of the second potential candidate for promotion, Rheinmetall. Nevertheless, Commerzbank’s rise to the Dax threatened to fail.
