Dusseldorf Cathie Wood starts the new year where she left off last year: The star investor has used the sell-off of tech stocks on the US market to buy more from her favorites. This emerges from communications from your investment house ARK.
In her flagship fund ARKK, she bought around seven million shares in 22 companies this week. Measured against the price lows of the respective days, Wood has invested at least $ 276 million. In return, she sold shares in just six companies.
Wood bought a particularly large number of shares, namely 2.7 million, from the biotech company Gingko Bioworks. The US group specializes in the genetic engineering of bacteria for industrial applications. Wood acquired 1.2 million titles from Draftkings, a sports betting and fantasy sports company.
