It was revealed that Huobi, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, was attacked by hackers the other day. Cyvers Alerts, which tracks cyber attack cases in the crypto industry, shared that a wallet belonging to the exchange lost millions of dollars of Ethereum.

According to the post by Cyvers Alerts, Huobi (now known as HTX) 5 thousand Ethereum was sent to another location in a suspicious manner from the address belonging to the exchange. The crypto tracker concluded that this was most likely an attack. The market value of the transferred ETH tokens is almost 8 million dollars.
Cyvers Alerts stated that the Huobi exchange offered a 5 percent “white hat” bonus to hackers who stole altcoins. Exchange officials gave the hacker until October 2, 2023 to return the Ethereum he stole.
