Attackers battered Bitcoin millionaire and took his passwords

Zaryn Dentzel, 38, was at home when the doorbell rang on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Spanish newspaper El País, which said it had the details of the story confirmed by the police. Zaryn Dentzel says that when he opened the door, a group of four or five masked people entered his house, blindfolded him and turned off the security cameras of his house and started beating him.

Citing judicial and police sources, the newspaper El Español reported that the entire torture lasted several hours, and Zaryn Dentzel was shocked when she allegedly had her eyes sprayed and the attackers stole her belongings and forced her to give her passwords. According to what the victim later told investigators, he kept his wealth in Bitcoin. The newspaper states that Zaryn Dentzel apparently has tens of millions of Euros worth of Bitcoin in his account.

The attackers eventually left the property, along with the account information and some of Zaryn Dentzel’s belongings. When one of the victim’s neighbors heard the calls for help, the police arrived. Police reportedly told El País that Zaryn Dentzel had her chest cut off after the attack. Forensic officers are said to be investigating the crime scene to gather more information. The Spanish National Police has yet to issue a press release regarding the alleged crime Wednesday morning.

While crypto theft, hacking and fraud, such as the $600 million cryptocurrency heist against the Poly Network Blockchain site earlier this year, are often committed in the cyber space, it seems that such crimes are now being committed in the physical world as well.
