Bitcoin Below $36,000 – Lowest since July

The oldest and most important cryptocurrency has lost 44 percent from the record high of almost 69,000 in November.

Dusseldorf, New York Bitcoin fell below $35,000 on Saturday, its lowest level since late July. Bitcoin was trading at $34,500 on Saturday morning. The largest cryptocurrency has lost a good eleven percent in the past 24 hours.

The second largest currency, ether, and various smaller coins went down even more. Ether was down around 18 percent in the early German morning at $2,340. Solana lost around 25 percent and was quoted at $93.

The crypto industry is bracing for more turmoil after the new drastic sell-off. Since Bitcoin’s most recent all-time high in November, the digital currency has lost 45 percent, or more than $600 billion. The market as a whole has lost more than $1 trillion in value, according to data from financial services firm Bloomberg.
