World leader in derivatives market CME Group today Bitcoin Euro and Ethereum Euro announced the launch of its futures trading.
CME Group announced today that the launch in Euro Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) Futures contracts will be subject to CME rules and will be listed.
Tim McCourt, Global Head of Equities and FX Products at CME Group, said in a statement:
“The launch of these new futures contracts is based on the strong growth and deep liquidity we are seeing in our existing USD-denominated Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts.
Our new Bitcoin Euro and Ether Euro futures will provide institutional clients inside and outside the US with more precise and regulated tools to trade and hedge the two largest cryptocurrencies by market cap.”
In addition, Bitcoin Euro and Ethereum Euro futures contracts are worth 5 per contract. Bitcoin (BTC) and 50 Ethereum (ETH) specified as limited.
