Big Move in Ethereum Layer-2 Projects: Explosive Rise Could Hit These Three Altcoins!

Guy Turner, host of the Coin Bureau YouTube channel, Ethereum (ETH) stated that the upward trend is dominant in layer-2 projects.

Explaining his views in the new strategy session, Turner stated to his 2.41 million subscribers that the layer-2 projects of ETH’s Dencun update could make big rallies and listed his top four choices.

The Dencun update, expected to be released in March, aims to reduce costs for layer-2 transactions and data availability on the leading smart contract platform.

“As the Dencun update approaches, Ethereum’s layer-2s are heating up,” says Turner.

First, the trader ArbitrumIt suggests that (ARB) may maintain its upward momentum.

“ARB recently hit an all-time high of $2.40 on January 12th and shows no signs of slowing down in large part due to the anticipated effects of Dencun. Dencun’s impact on layer-2 transaction speeds and costs may cause people to increasingly adopt Arbitrum as a cheaper way to interact with Ethereum.”

Arbitrum is trading at $1.83 at the time of writing, down 6% in the last 24 hours.

Ethereum Layer-2 Projects Gain Strength

trader, OptimismHe notes that OP has huge upside potential due to its goal of creating a “superchain” ecosystem that encourages collaboration between multiple layer-2 scaling solutions.

“One of the first to step into the ‘superchain’ ecosystem is none other than Coinbase’s own layer-2 solution, Base… This ‘superchain’ can quickly come to life after Dencun.”

Optimism is trading at $3.68 at the time of writing, down more than 9% in the last 24 hours.

Another scaling solution on the trader’s radar is GameFi, which he believes could become more popular in the industry. Immutable (IMX) happened.

“Immutable could see rapid acceleration in blockchain game development as network efficiency becomes supercharged. “With Immutable positioned as a major player in the GameFi narrative, many more game developers will turn their attention to the best environment to launch their products, and Immutable will be a top contender in this regard.”

Immutable is trading at $3.33 at the time of writing, down more than 5% in the last 24 hours.

Finally, the trader says Polygon (MATIC) may gain value due to its own planned network upgrade, Polygon 2.0.

“MATIC reached an all-time high of $2.92 on December 27, 2021. Currently, it’s still down 66% from that price point. However, everything can change with 2.0.”

MATIC is trading at $0.93, down nearly 9% in the last 24 hours.
