The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly has just accepted Sweden’s accession to NATO. Then, all eyes turned to Biden’s promise last week. So much so that Biden literally said to President Erdoğan, “Accept Sweden and buy F-16s.”
Recently, Erdogan also announced that Biden told him and assured him that if Sweden’s NATO membership is accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the F-16s that Turkey wants will be passed by Congress.
