The interest in unmanned aerial vehicles produced by Turkey is increasing. The price of Bayraktar TB2, which proved itself in Libya, Azerbaijan and Ukraine wars, as well as in Syria and Iraq operations, was a matter of curiosity.
In a campaign launched by the Lithuanian Minister of Defense yesterday, it was said that the necessary amount of money will be collected and the SİHA, which will be bought from Turkey, will be sent to Ukraine. In this direction, it was revealed how much Bayraktar TB2 was.
What is the price of Bayraktar TB2?
There were actually some estimates about the price of Bayraktar TB2 SİHA. But the exact amount was unknown. The Lithuanian Minister of Defense said in his post that they would receive TB2 from their citizens to send them to Ukraine and that’s why they were collecting donations. Along with that, he shared his account numbers.
In the post, it was said that 1 million Euros has already been collected and 5 million Euros are needed. In other words, the cost of buying 1 Bayraktar TB2 is 6 million dollars. Of course, it should be noted that this price may vary according to countries, agreements and the equipment of the aircraft.
Domestic UAV engine completed: TAI and Baykar took delivery!
TEI, a subsidiary of TAI, produced more than 40 domestic UAV engines PD170. The first delivery for UAVs was made.
However, it is estimated that the TB2 model to be purchased will be an armed and non-satellite version. In other words, the pricing for the base model of the SİHA will be 6 million Euros. Of course, let’s say that it will increase when elements such as satellite control and ground control units are added.
Of course, Ukraine had purchased ground control elements during its first agreement with Turkey. Therefore, there is no need to buy these units again. Because even though the number of TB2 it can control at the same time is limited, it can manage all of them from the same command center.
