Another good news for PC players from the creator of God of War!

God of War production team Matt DeWald and Cory Barlog shared another set of good news for PC gamers in an interview.

Mac and Linux support ends for Humble Trove

Humble Bundle, which sent an e-mail to users with Mac and Linux, gave the players the bad news. Accordingly, as of February 1, the platform will remove access to Linux and Mac games in the Humble Trove catalog. Users who want to keep the Mac and Linux versions of existing Humble Trove games must download the games before February 1st.

Humble Bundle is among the important platforms for players, especially with its discounted game opportunities and options such as purchasing games by subscription. Humble Trove, on the other hand, is a catalog of Humble Originals games that do not have more than 75 DRM, that is, anti-copy system. To access this catalog, you need to be a member of the Humble Choice subscription.

For now, Humble Trove continues to support Windows. However, the predictions are that Humble Bundle will completely terminate this service. In this sense, Humble Bundle will also simplify the Humble Choice subscription system as of February 1.

Humble Bundle announced in a statement on its blog that the Choice subscription will now consist of a single package. Accordingly, the Humble Choice subscription will cost $11.99. The main change is that you had the right to choose some of the games offered by subscription type before. Now, with the Humble Choice subscription, you will have access to all the games that the platform offers to its subscribers.

With this change in the subscription system, there is a possibility that the Humble Trove service will disappear. Because the way to reach more exclusive games in this service was to have a higher paying Choice subscription. Currently, there is no decision to remove access for Mac and Linux players, except for Trove.

Humble Bundle also gave a new good news to Choice subscribers. Accordingly, as of February, a new service called Humble Games Collection will be offered to subscribers. This service is a game library that expands with new games monthly, just like Xbox Game Pass. At the same time, special discount opportunities will also be included in this collection. The games selected for the Humble Game Collection for the month of February are as follows:

  • forage
  • Wizard of Legends
  • Dodgeball Academy
  • unsighted
  • Void Bastards
