Astounding Theft from Former UPS Employee

The former UPS employee, who was fired for allegedly stealing and selling Apple products worth $1.3 million, pleaded guilty. He also explained where he spent his income.

The employee named Orville Martirez Beltrano, who committed a theft of $1.3 million by stealing and selling 866 Apple products from a UPS warehouse in Canada between July 2023 and January 2024, was dismissed in January.

During searches of his vehicle and home, he found $9,000 in cash, a Mac laptop and jewelry worth more than $9,100 packed in a bag in his vehicle. The jewelery was also found to be stolen. Beltrano admitted that he obtained the money seized from his vehicle by selling Apple products.

Beltrano, who is charged with theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained through crime over $5,000, and possession of proceeds of crime, was found to have bought himself a house worth $630,000 and a $60,000 Audi vehicle with the money he earned as a result of the theft. .

Court documents show Beltrano deposited a total of more than $232,000 in cash into bank accounts between September and January. Judge’s approval is awaited for the seizure of houses, cars and bank accounts.
