Asian stock markets slide due to Ukraine war and recession risks

Frankfurt, Tokyo Asian stock markets fell on Friday after the sharpest quarterly decline in global stock markets in two years. Investors worried about the fallout from the war in Ukraine and rising risks of recession. In addition, according to a Bank of Japan survey, confidence in the Japanese economy fell to a nine-month low in the first quarter.
