Defense industry companies continue to grow day by day. In this process, we see that hundreds of new projects are being worked on and dozens of products enter the inventory or enter the testing phase every year. Finally, ASELSAN signed an agreement to produce new radar systems in the next 7 years.
ASELSAN is starting new radar production! Delivery date: 2025-2030
Presidency of Defense Industries wants to take inventory of new radar systems to be produced by ASELSAN as soon as possible. For this reason, resources exceeding 2 billion TL have been allocated. Finally, we understand that the company that started the Early Warning Radar Systems project will focus on radar development and production for the next 7 years.
Although it is not stated exactly for which areas of use the radar will be produced within the framework of the agreement, there are some supported estimates. Initially, the radar needs of the Siper and existing Hisar HSSs, which will enter mass production, can be met. In addition, ERALP and UMAR can be supplied. Although the information is limited for now, it is stated that the first delivery will start in 2025. In other words, the veil of secrecy will be opened in the near future.

In the statement made by ASELSAN to the Public Disclosure Platform, the following was stated:
“A contract amendment has been made regarding the contract signed between ASELSAN and the Presidency of Defense Industries on 20.06.2016. In addition to the related contract, a Radar supply order was given to ASELSAN for a total of 976.500.000 Turkish Liras and 97.000.000 US Dollars. Within the scope of the said contract, deliveries will take place between 2025 and 2030. This statement was made based on the permission obtained from the Presidency of Defense Industries.“
