According to what was quoted by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, there are currently 881 thousand undergraduate students actively using KYK student loans. This number reaches 3 million with those who have passed the payment process. Contrary to scholarships, it was stated that this loan is provided to every applicant and student who meets the conditions.
It was said that a loan of 850 TL was given to university students, 1,700 TL to graduate students, and 2 thousand 550 TL to doctoral students. When the education period ends, the people who receive this loan can request a postponement if they do not start a job with insurance in 2 years.
