A number of cryptocurrency ETFs created by 21Shares and Ark Invest, managed by Cathie Wood, are opening for trading today.
Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange traded funds (ETF), prepared in cooperation with Ark Invest and 21Shares, begin trading on the Cboe exchange today.
Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood said investors will be able to invest in cryptocurrencies as an asset class “according to their own risk tolerance and investment goals” thanks to these actively managed funds.
Two of the funds will trade with Bitcoin futures and Ethereum futures contracts, and one will trade with both Bitcoin and Ethereum contracts.
One of the other two funds will invest in Bitcoin contracts and cash equivalents, which will be tied to blockchain data; the other will invest in both Bitcoin contracts and shares of blockchain, digital asset, technology and financial technology companies.
Unlike spot exchange-traded funds, none of the funds Bitcoin direct will not transact with.
