Dusseldorf Luka Mucic has seen numerous colleagues come and go. The chief financial officer, who has been in office since 2014, is the constant on the SAP board. When the manager’s contract was extended in 2020, when SAP was dealing with the Corona crisis and personnel disputes, Supervisory Board Chairman Hasso Plattner spoke of a “clear signal of stability in uncertain times”.
But now the manager is surprisingly going himself: the supervisory board and the manager have mutually agreed on this, the software manufacturer said in a mandatory announcement late Friday evening after the stock exchange closed – a time when corporations like to publish bad news.
Mucic, whose contract should run until 2026, will continue to work as CFO until March 31, 2023 “in full” and the search for a successor has been initiated, SAP explained. In short: the financier’s farewell should not leave a vacuum.
