Amazon announced the opening of its first logistics base in Turkey. The logistics base, which started operations with an investment of more than 100 million dollars and will make significant contributions to meeting the increasing customer demand, will create more than a thousand new jobs in a year.

According to the data; The number of Amazon SME affiliates increased by more than 50 percent compared to the previous year, reaching over 25,000. Turkish SMEs selling through Amazon have created employment for more than 35 thousand people in Turkey to support their online businesses.

Export sales of SMEs, on the other hand, increased more than twice in 2021 compared to the previous year and exceeded 300 million Euros. So far, more than 6,000 SMEs in Turkey have benefited from FBA service, and many of them have doubled their sales in the last year. More than half of the products sold on Amazon worldwide are owned by affiliates, the majority of which are SMBs. Sales by SME sales partners account for approximately 60 percent of total sales.
