All Green Passports Can Be Converted to Special Passports

This issue is constantly criticized by our Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I mean, you’re over it. For God’s sake, we may face a situation like this. All green passports can revert to special passports.

But I took responsibility for it. I would like to say that I will do a study. Of course there is this too. In other words, you have the ability to travel abroad with a gray passport for your own business. The state will not refuse you to do this.”

What is a special (green) passport?

The green passport is given to public officials, deputies, judges, prosecutors, members of the security forces and some professional groups. This type of passport gives its holder some privileges over other passport holders. For example, in some countries visa is easier or in some countries you may be exempt from visa.

The special passport, also known as the green passport, is given to Turkish citizens, businessmen, athletes, artists, members of the press, students and some other special occasions abroad. This type of passport also provides some privileges to its holder, like the green passport. However not as comprehensive as a green passport and some countries are not entitled to visa exemption.
