Artificial intelligence has made a huge leap forward, especially in 2023. The trend started with ChatGPT, and with the entry of giants such as Amazon and Google into this market, the cake of the market has grown. In this sense, Ali Taha Koç touched upon important issues in the session where the dangers and opportunities of artificial intelligence were discussed.
Explaining that they, as Turkcell, have invested heavily in artificial intelligence, Koç believes that the fear that artificial intelligence will replace humans is unfounded. General Manager Koç announced that not artificial intelligence, but those who can use artificial intelligence will replace those who do not.
Ali Taha Koç also warned against manipulation of artificial intelligence and disinformation. In this sense, he emphasized that artificial intelligence, which is simple enough to be used by everyone in every field, should be human-oriented against misleading results. Turkcell General Manager also reminded that they adopted this principle corporately in 2020. In this sense, Koç also said that the company has a professionally responsible artificial intelligence policy.
Ali Taha Koç announced that, as Turkcell, they also attach importance to data privacy regarding artificial intelligence. According to Koç, in this sense, artificial intelligence technologies should have a transparent and secure structure.
The General Manager also underlined that what Turkcell attaches most importance to is sharing and cooperation in artificial intelligence. However, according to Koç, such an approach in the world will enable a better future for humanity through artificial intelligence.
General Manager Koç also underlined that everyone creates huge amounts of data after digitalization and that artificial intelligence should be used carefully here. On the other hand, General Manager Koç also pointed out that those who present artificial intelligence as bad generally make large investments in this business.
