Billionaire venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, 2024 Bitcoin He thinks it could be the biggest year for (BTC). Palihapitiya says the approval of a number of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) would likely be a game changer for BTC.
According to Palihapitiya, ETF‘s will allow certain segments of the population to finally be exposed to BTC. This is likely to eventually lead to mainstream adoption
“I think this year is the most important year for Bitcoin ever. We are probably just days away from approving a number of ETFs. So it will be an important year for Bitcoin to use that old term ‘crossing the chasm’ and for everyone to adopt BTC.
If all this happens, I think Bitcoin will become part of the traditional finance lexicon by the end of 2024. “This is the trend I am looking forward to the most this year.”
The SEC is expected to rule on several Bitcoin ETF applications between now and January 10. Some of the BTC ETF candidates include asset managers BlackRock, ARK Invest, VanEck and Valkyrie Investments.
Bitcoin is trading at $43,936 at the time of writing.
