Frankfurt This forecast should make real estate buyers sit up and take notice: According to the assessment of the online portal Immoscout24, prices for condominiums will rise in the next twelve months – but much more strongly in Berlin than in Cologne, Hamburg, Frankfurt or Munich and in Germany as a whole.

Immoscout24 expects a nationwide increase in asking prices of 11.3 percent in view of the persistently high demand for condominiums, and 9.1 percent for new apartments. A plus of around 13 percent is even estimated for Berlin, both for existing and newly built apartments.

On the other hand, the experts are much more pessimistic when considering the five largest German cities for Frankfurt and Munich: In Frankfurt, prices are expected to rise by around five percent for both types of apartments over the next twelve months, in Munich an increase of six percent for existing apartments and for newly built apartments an increase of only 2.5 percent.
