ZY Electric Tractor, unlike many domestic and foreign hybrid tractor projects, will be produced with a 100 percent electric motor. It is said that 105 horsepower vehicles provide up to 90 percent energy savings. In fact, according to ZY’s data, it can travel 100 kilometers at a cost of around 3 TL.
Unlike its predecessors, which utilizes all the possibilities of the electric motor, unlike the diesel-powered tractors we are used to, it stands out with its quiet operation even under the highest workload.
In addition, due to its nature, maintenance costs will be much lower. In addition, according to the data announced by ZY, it will have a fast charging time of under 45 minutes. The charging unit to be used here will be integrated into the vehicle.
Compared to its internal combustion engine competitors, it is said that up to 90 percent savings can be made in diesel costs. Therefore, it is stated that an average farmer can keep an annual fuel cost of 133 thousand TL in his pocket.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, who personally tested the vehicle last year, said:
It is a 100% domestic and national, electrically powered tractor developed here. Our President used this tractor at the Harvest Festival in Ankara. Hopefully, starting from this, Turkey will manufacture all domestic and national automobiles and large vehicles. We need to develop and support them. The tractor is very good within our trial possibilities here. It’s a powerful engine. It has already been tested and successfully passed all of them. We hope that mass production will also begin.
