Dusseldorf The times when job seekers were blinded by the amount of salary and let themselves be drawn into a new job are apparently over. Another wish is coming into focus for many: Fewer and fewer employees are willing to work outside of their regular working hours. This is indicated by the 2021 working time monitor on the “Gehalt.de” platform, according to which the number of overtime hours has more than halved in the past ten years.

A development to which employers are now also reacting. An exclusive evaluation by the job platform Indeed shows that companies today use the keyword “overtime compensation” much more frequently in their job advertisements than three years ago – the experts observed a total increase of 342 percent here.
