LaMDA 2, Google’s most talkative AI ever
Google introduced the artificial intelligence assistant LaMDA at the I/O 2021 event held in May of last year. Continuing to work on improving its artificial intelligence in the past year, the company introduced its second version today. Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced LaMDA 2, which he describes as “the most talkative AI ever.”
The new version of LaMDA is designed to work with artificial intelligence technology and machine learning to talk about thousands of topics. Google’s CEO stated that LaMDA 2 will give clear answers without deflecting the subject.
Three demos were presented showing what LaMDA 2 can do. First, it makes the user brainstorm. Secondly, it can offer other options depending on the topic being talked about. This situation was introduced with examples during the introduction. During the demo, ask the app, “Have you ever wondered why dogs love to fetch so much?” he was asked.
The app explained the topic by giving detailed information about dogs and their sense of smell. In the demo, the Googler asked the question, “I want to plant a vegetable garden.” In response, he faced options such as “Search for what grows best in your area”, “Choose a place in your garden”, “Plan your garden layout”.
