When is a heat pump worthwhile?

An energy consultation can clarify which type of heat pump makes the most sense or whether other alternative heating systems could also be considered.

Berlin Germany is to become climate-neutral by 2045, and Baden-Württemberg even by 2040 according to the current coalition agreement. The building sector plays a decisive role here, as it currently causes around a third of all CO2 emissions. Homeowners must therefore make their properties energetically fit over the next 20 years.

Added to this is the current energy price crisis, triggered by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The heat pump is becoming more and more the focus of considerations as to how the fossil fuels gas, coal and oil could be replaced.

Heat pumps are already the new heating standard in new private buildings. Over 40 percent of new buildings were equipped with it last year. But are they also a good solution for old buildings? Owners should ask themselves these questions when planning:
