What employers most often lure with

bonus payments

Those who work well in sales often earn more through variable bonuses. In other industries, German employees are more safety-oriented.

Dusseldorf Many job advertisements today promise “Christmas bonuses”, “attractive bonus regulations” or “profit sharing”. Employers are increasingly attracting new employees with variable remuneration components. This was the result of an exclusive evaluation by the job exchange Indeed for the Handelsblatt.

The analysis of several million job offers from the past three years shows that the 13th salary is consistently the most popular: In 16 percent of all advertisements, the future boss offers new employees this fixed additional payment, which is often transferred at the end of the year.

However, the company pension scheme (bAV) is catching up as an additional benefit: Three years ago, the additional pension was only in six percent of the job advertisements, today it is 14 percent, more than twice as many.
