The results of the NATO summit in Vilnius on July 11 and 12, 2023 were awaited with particular excitement in the second year of the Ukraine war. The Alliance must redefine its role in a changing world order.
The expected strengthening of the eastern flank and the call for even more reliable investments in defense will pose new challenges for the member states. Germany and the Bundeswehr will be a particular focus.
With a little distance and a clear view of the results of the NATO summit, the Handelsblatt editors will interject on July 20, 2023 with experts from defense policy, the armaments industry, science and the Bundeswehr.
Moritz Koch, head of the Handelsblatt office in Brussels, will lead the discussion.
