Warren Buffett’s company is suffering from inflation

Denver The persistently high prices in the USA are also having an impact on Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway group. The conglomerate’s operating income fell 8 percent to $6.7 billion in the quarter. Berkshire announced this on Saturday. In addition to an insurance and energy division, the group from Omaha, Nebraska also includes a good 80 small and medium-sized companies, as well as share packages worth over 300 billion dollars. Because Buffett’s company is so broadly based, the results are considered an important indicator for the entire US economy.

For the year as a whole, however, Berkshire is in better shape than ever. The company reported operating profits of $30.8 billion, a new record.
