US music company Warner Music Group has announced that it wants to hire at least two people who can develop and manage Web3-related projects.

According to the job posting on LinkedIn, the first job entails creating marketing plans for Metaverse brands and platforms, as well as finding new opportunities in Metaverse, web3 games, AR and VR.

Also, Warner Music Group wants a candidate with a “strong knowledge” of gaming and an interest in Blockchain.

The second job focuses on partnership strategy with Web3, Metaverse and playgrounds, and building connections with brands, firms, platforms and individuals in these areas.

The company seems to be looking into Metaverse and web3 gaming opportunities as well as NFTs.

The job posting comes nearly a week after the record label partnered with OpenSea for music NFTs, and Warner Music Group aims to increase music fan engagement through this partnership.

According to the posting, the ideal candidate would be someone with experience working in a game developer, studio or metaverse platform, as well as a deep understanding of content licensing and the global digital media landscape.

Warner Music Group, a conglomerate of multiple music companies including Atlantic, East West and Warner Records, holds more than 1 million copyrights, according to its job posting.

In April, the company hired Linkin Park founder and music technology pioneer Mike Shinoda as community innovation consultant, helping “shape the company’s artist-centric approach to Web3.”
