After the US financial investor Silver Lake secured a good 84 percent of the shares in Software AG, there were unscheduled changes in the MDax and SDax. As the index provider Stoxx announced on Thursday evening via Deutsche Börse, the Darmstadt-based company will be deleted from the MDax. In connection with a takeover, the free float fell below the minimum share of ten percent required to remain in the index, it was said to be the reason.

Software AG will be replaced in the MDax by the Regensburg automotive supplier Vitesco. The Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund takes its place in the SDax. The changes will therefore take effect on Tuesday. Such changes are particularly important for funds that replicate indices in real terms (physically replicating ETFs). There must then be reallocated accordingly, which can have an impact on share prices.
