Vitalik Buterin Asks the Big Question: This Altcoin Has Won!

Vitalik Buterin’s “Saving the World in 2035” poll was won by popular altcoin Cardano against Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL). Cardano (ADA) effortlessly won the Vitalik Buterin poll for the Ethereum (ETH) community. Details cryptocoin.com‘in.

The winning altcoin project is Cardano

The poll, published by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, asking the ETH community what their preferred currency would be in 2035 if ETH weren’t there, resulted in Cardano’s victory. Vitalik Buterin’s tweet on the subject is as follows:

Survey for the Ethereum community. You wake up in 2035 and 80% of all transactions in the world as well as savings are in a single non-ETH currency. Which would you prefer it to be?

In the survey in question, three cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC), Cardano (ADA) and Solana (SOL), including the US dollar, competed with each other. The survey result was surprising as the Ethereum community preferred its rival Cardano as their future currency if ETH was not available. The community had 24 hours to record their responses, recording a total of 600,697 user responses, and Cardano voted 42% in favor of saving the world and dominating transactions by 2035. Bitcoin, the king of all crypto, lost almost 4% to Cardano, while USD and Solana had the lowest support at just 6.5% and 13.1% respectively. Cardano gained serious attention after the launch of smart contracts. In late December 2021, Charles Hoskinson stated that there are about 175 projects in Cardano, with about 11 projects to be undertaken by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
