Venom spin-off game may be coming!

Insomniac Games touched on the potential of a spin-off game featuring Venom following Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. When asked directly about the possibility of such a project, senior story director Jon Paquette hinted that it could happen if there was enough demand from fans.

If Venom in Spider-Man 2 is liked, the studio can start working on the game

Paquette noted that a Venom spin-off could share a similar scope as the successful Miles Morales title. Miles Morales, though smaller in scale compared to the 2019 Spider-Man release, proved to be a commercial triumph for Insomniac Games.

Paquette summed up the studio’s approach in an interview with Insider: “What we’re doing is we’re focused on Spider-Man 2, and what we’re going to do is wait to see how the fans react. We’re going to listen to the fans and ask ourselves, ‘Okay, what do the fans really want?’ “We will ask.”

A spoiler-filled trailer showing new villains has been released for Spider-Man 2, which is 4 days away from release.

However, Paquette warned that it would take some time for any spin-off plans to get off the ground. He informed Insider that post-launch discussions with the development team will only continue after he’s had a chance to “sleep and take a vacation.” Considering the upcoming holiday season, it’s safe to say that this meeting may be postponed for a while.

Currently, Insomniac Games is busy providing post-launch support for Spider-Man 2. The studio’s commitment to engaging with fan feedback and gauging requests for potential spin-off content reflects a collaborative approach and suggests that future projects may indeed be influenced by the desires of its dedicated fanbase.
