US Senate Banking Committee to Discuss Stablecoins Next Week

The US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs will hold a hearing next week on the use cases of stablecoins.

“Stablecoins: How Do They Work, How Are They Used, and What Are The Risks?” The session titled, will start on 14 December at 18:00 Turkish time.

In the session, which will be broadcast live from the Senate building, Alexis Goldstein, Financial Policy Director of the Open Markets Institute, and Prof. Hilary J. Allen will attend.

While it was stated that more different participants could be included in the session in the coming days, no detailed explanation was made about the content of the meeting.

The US Financial Markets Working Group (PWG) published its report on stablecoins last month after months of research. It was published at the beginning. The report called on Congress to immediately bring stablecoins under federal law.
