US investors are cautioned ahead of the reporting season

Frankfurt, New York Wall Street investors barely ventured out of cover before the start of the US earnings season. The Dow Jones index of defaults opened on Tuesday 0.1 percent higher to 34,537 points. The broader S&P 500 rose 0.2 percent to 4,370 meters. The index of the technology exchange Nasdaq gained 0.3 percent to 14,525 points.

Higher oil prices and supply chain bottlenecks clouded the economic outlook. Investors were therefore eagerly awaiting the outlook for companies: on Wednesday, the US bank JP Morgan heralded the reporting season for the third quarter.
