US financial giant Visa announces change of boss

san francisco The credit card provider Visa has named a new CEO. On February 1 next year, Ryan McInerney will take over as CEO from Alfred F. Kelly, the Mastercard and American Express rival announced on Thursday after the US stock market closed.

Kelly, who has held the top post since 2016, is then set to become executive chairman of the board. McInerney has been responsible for Visa’s global business since 2013 and says the company has 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Investors took the change calmly, the share initially hardly moved after the trading day.
