Washington After more than a year of negotiations, the US Congress passed a multi-billion dollar package to boost the domestic chip industry on Thursday. After the Senate, the House of Representatives voted with both parties in favor of the bill, which provides for government funding of around $52 billion. In addition, 200 billion dollars are to flow into research over a period of ten years in order to be able to compete better with China. President Joe Biden was expected to sign the bill into law.
