This morning, the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in southern Ukraine was attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a series of attacks rarely seen in the world. Here are all the details about the subject…
Ukraine carried out a UAV attack on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant!
The attacks on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant by Ukraine were carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and specifically targeted three different regions. The first attack was made at 11.38 local time in an area close to the canteen of the power plant, and as a result, three people were injured, one of them seriously.
Half an hour after this incident, the cargo port area of the power plant and a short time later, another dome containing the plant’s sixth power unit was attacked by a UAV. Luckily, no critical damage occurred at the nuclear power plant and no loss of life occurred during these attacks. Natural background radiation values did not change and did not exceed safe levels.
Russia’s state nuclear energy company Rosatom also strongly condemned these attacks and called on the international community, especially the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Iranian government, to understand the seriousness of these attacks on Europe’s largest nuclear power plant and to take action against it. Rosatom also invited European Union countries to unite against this danger and take the necessary steps to prevent a possible escalation.
