Uniper shares are approaching their low for the year – analysts see further downside risks

Dusseldorf The shares of the energy company Uniper continued their crash on Thursday. The titles of the Finnish-German company sometimes fall by more than six percent and fall below the six euro mark. They are thus approaching the low for the year of EUR 5.64 from July.

The trigger for the losses on Thursday was a sell recommendation from Citigroup analyst Piotr Dzieciolowski. He downgraded the title of the MDax group from “buy” to “sell”. He also reduced the “fair value” of the share from EUR 26.60 to EUR 3.30.

Dzieciolowski points out that the share of shareholders is being severely diluted by the state support package. Their participation is likely to shrink from 22 to less than four percent.
