Berlin According to a new survey, the Union is expanding its lead over the ruling Greens and Social Democrats. If there had been a federal election this Sunday, according to the “Sonntagstrend” survey for “Bild am Sonntag”, the CDU and CSU would have come to 28 percent. That is one percentage point more than in the previous week.

The SPD loses one percentage point and comes to 19 percent. The Greens remain stable at 22 percent. The third government partner in the red-green-yellow coalition, the FDP, loses one point and ends up with eight percent.

The AfD also recorded a minus of one percentage point to ten percent, the left remained four percent below the five percent hurdle. The other parties therefore have nine percent of the votes.
In the period from July 4 to 7, 2022, the opinion research institute Insa asked 1,202 German citizens about their intention to vote if the federal election were to take place next Sunday.
