Samsung says that there will be no Galaxy A74 model this year and that the top device of the series is the Galaxy A54. So, will this smartphone, which is located just below the flagships, meet the expectations of the users with its price and features?
The Galaxy A54 model is equipped with Samsung’s own processor, the Exynos 1380. On the GPU side, Mali-G68 is available. It also has 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage options. In this way, it brings with it a 20 percent improvement in the processor and a 26 percent improvement in graphics compared to the Galaxy 53.
We also tested this data shared by Samsung. As a result, it managed to score 498 thousand 287 points in AnTuTu, 1009 points in the single-core test and 2858 points in the multi-core test in Geekbench 6. That says it’s much more powerful than its predecessor.
The device has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with 1080×2400 pixel resolution, 411 ppi, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits brightness. It should also be noted that the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
On the camera side, we see a triple array on the back. These are respectively 50 Megapixel main camera, 12 Megapixel wide angle and 5 Megapixel macro. In addition, there is a 32 Megapixel selfie camera on the front of the device. Finally, let’s say that it can record 4K 30 FPS video on the front and back.
The device’s 5,000mAh battery offers up to 21 hours of video playback time. There is fast charging support at 25 W. It comes out of the box with One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. It is also stated that it will receive 4 years of Android and 5 years of security updates.
