Selenski calls for an end to the rumor mill – defense minister remains in office
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is apparently trying to end speculation about a possible replacement of his Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov. In a speech to parliament on Tuesday, he made a point of declaring that he thanks everyone who is helping to preserve the unity of Ukraine and “not spreading rumors or other pseudo-information”.
The enemy must not be allowed to “play with the emotions of our people”. Personnel and institutional steps would be taken at various levels in the defense and security sectors. The decision-making power lies exclusively with him, the president, Zelenski wrote in a post on Telegram, in which he quoted from his speech to parliament.
