Ukraine is the testing ground for future warfare

The fact that drones are playing an increasingly important role in warfare in Ukraine was shown not least by the Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure. “Use is likely to pose an increasing threat to U.S. troops abroad, its allies and partners — and perhaps to U.S. territory as well,” it said.

The Pentagon writes that drones are a cheap, easily accessible and flexible way to carry out armed attacks. “They can be as deadly as rockets and can be fired from a large area virtually undetected.”
