Uber, the online platform that provides taxi transportation services in our country, announced its new additional fee tariff, effective from today. Trips with a hop-on/hop-off fee of 70 TL will now be charged more.
Uber will now charge additional fees
Starting from Monday, December 11 (today), Uber will start adding a fixed service fee of 20 TL to the final trip fee for each trip made through the Uber app.
This service fee is valid for both cash payments and in-app credit card payments and will be clearly stated in the trip summary. For trips made with a credit card, the service fee will be automatically reflected in the trip fee. For cash payments, the driver will add the fixed service fee to be collected on behalf of Uber to the trip fee.
Stating that such a fixed additional fee is charged all over the world, Uber announced that 20 TL is a fixed fee regardless of distance and time.

Uber is a mobile application-based transportation platform that has been serving in Turkey since 2014. However, due to legal regulations and legislation in Turkey, Uber’s activities were suspended for a while. During this process, Uber’s services in Turkey were stopped and negotiations were held for reorganizations.

It took a long time for the platform to be put back into service as a result of reorganizations or to operate under certain conditions, and it evolved into a taxi platform only.
