Two features are coming to Threads that will overtake Twitter

Meta’s Twitter (new name X) rival Threads is leveling up with new features. An ‘edit’ button has been introduced to the platform, allowing users to correct spelling errors within five minutes of sharing their posts.

To have this new feature of Threads, you will not need to have a paid subscription like on Twitter.

Edited posts will be marked with a pencil icon. Audio threads are also coming to Threads, offering a new way to engage with the community.

Users will find this option via a microphone icon when creating or replying to a Topic.

Threads is determined to kill X (Twitter): Premium feature available for free!

Technology giant Meta offered the paid feature of X (Twitter) for free with a new update released for Threads.

For mobile users, holding or tapping the icon will be enough to start audio recording. Topics will automatically have subtitles for those who cannot listen.

Users will be able to review and edit the created text for clarity before sending. Specifically, Audio posts will be muted by default and only one will be listenable at a time.

Both features are currently in testing on Android devices, with wider availability expected soon. Threads’ edit button will not require payment, unlike its X counterpart, and will give users a more accessible editing option. We should also point out that the editing window is shorter compared to X’s.

Threads’ rapid rollout of these features underscores its commitment to improving user experience. A highly requested add-on, the edit button gives users a window of as little as 5 minutes to perfect their posts.

The lack of a payment requirement for this feature could put Threads one step ahead of its rival X. The introduction of audio threads further diversifies user interaction, providing a dynamic way to engage with the platform’s community.
