In the past days, we talked about the ‘Community’ feature of WhatsApp that will allow you to gather multiple chat groups under the same roof. With this update coming to WhatsApp, many innovations will come along with this feature.

Apart from the platforms that have just announced this feature, such as WhatsApp, there are already applications with the community feature. Twitter, which opened the community feature in the past months, also announced that it would open the ‘dislike’ feature, which has caused many discussions and has been talked about for years.

Community admins can decide whether members can invite people or not.

The community feature has a very functional use by many people. However, there are still certain shortcomings. Twitter will have decided to drop a little more on this feature as it is preparing to add a few changes. With this upcoming update, community admins will now be able to decide whether members can invite another person. With this feature that will come about invitations to communities, There will be two types of communities:

  • Public Community: A community where anyone can join the Community and all members can invite other people.
  • Restricted Community: A restricted community where a request is sent to the community to become a member. After requests are approved by the moderator or admin, access to the community will be available. If you are invited by a moderator or an existing member of the restricted community, you will not need to submit a request to the community.
