Twitter has announced its new Unmention feature!

Twitter announced today that it has brought a new feature called Unmention for all users. Thanks to this feature, which we saw shared by some analysts who had access during the testing phase last April, we can remove ourselves from conversations that we no longer want to be involved in.

Twitter puts the control of the chat in the hands of the user with the Unmention feature!

Thanks to its new Unmention feature, Twitter allows you to exit all conversations you are involved in. In order to do this, you can click the three dots on the top right of the relevant Tweets and click the leave conversation option. Of course, it should be noted that this feature may not be active in the browser as of now.

In the post made by Twitter, it was said:

Sometimes you want to see yourself outside. Take control of Mentions and pull yourself out of a conversation with Unmentioning now available to everyone on all devices.

Tweeting together is coming!

Some users, who had the chance to test this feature of tweeting together, developed by Twitter, reported the situation through their social media accounts. He even tried it with his friends and shared this innovation with a tweet shared together.

The statement made by Twitter for the feature says:

• You can invite public accounts that follow you.
• If they accept, a CoTweet will be published with you both as co-authors.
• If they refuse, the CoTweet draft will be deleted.

As can be understood from the description, you will first be able to joint Tweet with someone who follows you and whose account is not private. You can do this by first creating a draft and directing it to that person. If they find the content appropriate and approve it, sharing will be done automatically on both accounts.

If the other party does not accept this sharing, there will be no undesirable situation such as publishing only from your account. In fact, Twitter says it will delete the tweet from drafts as well. Therefore, both parties have to make a joint decision.

Thanks to this innovation, it is obvious that we will see many common Tweets in the coming period. However, it is thought to be used frequently, especially by companies and institutions. Numerous examples of this can be given, from the joint sharing of an astronaut with NASA to Tweets by a football team and a football player.
