“It was hard work for my body”
Munich – She survived the cancer! And was allowed to shoot again – with Richy Müller (67).
TV star Katerina Jacob (64) happy to BILD: “I’m considered a survivor. And live a normal life again.”
The actress felt breast lumps while showering earlier this year: five in total! In the Third Order Clinic (Nymphenburg), half her breast was removed (BILD reported).
Two of the nodes were malignant. Jacob to BILD: “I had triple breast cancer. The two smallest nodules were malignant.”
She got chemo, radiation, immunotherapy
Brave and honest: Katerina Jacob always shared with her fans on Instagram how she was doing with chemo. Also appeared bald.
Hard months for the actress, torture for her body. She suffered from severe side effects and was not allowed to go out in the summer to protect her from skin irritation.
Now, ten months later, she is considered cured. And was finally allowed to shoot again.
“I feel in great shape. I had 17 days of shooting in Cologne for the third part of `Anna and her lodgers’. This time with Richy Müller. It was just great,” says Jacob to BILD.
She’s back to life! “I thank my body. It was hard work for him. He put it away really well,” says the daughter of actress Ellen Schwiers († 88).
She has made a decision: “Now I’ll distance myself more from people who aren’t good for me.”
The TV star celebrates Christmas with the family in her mother’s house on Lake Starnberg, which she inherited. Daughter Josephine will also come with her family for this.
But before that, Katerina Jacob has to go to a clinic again: in Nymphenburg she is undergoing an eye operation, which she had to postpone for a long time because of cancer.
“I have cataracts. After that I’ll go straight to the premiere of ‘All under one Tanne’ in the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof with an eye patch. I’ve been looking forward to this for so long.”
