As we approach the end of the year with our positive indicators in the first 9 months of the year, we are taking firm steps towards our upwardly revised forecasts in the second quarter of the year. In this context; “We plan to have an annual increase in consolidated operating income in the range of approximately 67-70 percent, EBITDA in the range of approximately 25-27 billion TL, and investment expenditures in the range of approximately 19-21 billion TL,” he said.

Türk Telekom, which continues to be Turkey’s fiber power with its investments in fiber, increased its fiber network length to 427 thousand km as of September 2023. The number of Türk Telekom’s fiber subscribers reached 12.6 million in the first 9 months of 2023.

Önal stated that Türk Telekom is the most preferred operator, especially in the mobile subscriber segment, and announced that they maintained their leadership in the MNT (Mobile Number Portability) market for eight consecutive quarters.

Pointing out that the concession issue was among the agenda items during the period when their upward performance continued, Önal said, “We applied to BTK for the renewal of the fixed line services concession agreement at the beginning of 2023. Afterwards, BTK asked us to prepare a draft framework document for the next agreement. In this regard, we submitted the framework document in which we gathered our opinions, suggestions and demands on the subject to the regulatory authority. While our negotiations with the regulatory body continue after our application, within the scope of the process; We acted with a holistic and inclusive approach perspective in order to create a value-creating and sustainable activity model that will ensure the joint development of Turkey, the sector and Türk Telekom. “We expect to see concrete progress on this priority issue in 2024,” he said.
